DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
Initially, in order to diagnose low testosterone levels, a medical examination is required.
It is important to visit specialized centers with experienced nursing and medical staff, who will make you feel comfortable and allow you to discuss the problem you are facing without hesitation. During your visit, a complete medical history will be requested. Then, a session with the Specialist Andrologist will follow.
Afterwards, a laboratory test will be performed, a fundamental part of which consists of blood tests. In order to investigate the possible causes of low testosterone levels, specific blood tests are required that will show the doctor possible imbalances in the body and help him reach the correct diagnosis and appropriate therapeutic approach.
The laboratory test includes:
- Blood test
- Hormonal Analysis
- Total Testosterone
- Free Testosterone
- Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG)
- Free Androgen Index
- Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
- Prolactin (PRL)
- Diabetes Check
- Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c)
- Estimated Average Glucose (eAG)
- Prostate Check
- Total Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
